Like Spring Rain

Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed is the one  who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.

Hosea 6:3 “So let us know, let us press on to know the LORD. His going forth is as certain as the dawn; And He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain watering the earth.”

The question is: Are we looking at a glass that is half empty or is it all the way full and we are just not seeing it-yet? We are His People, called by His name.  We are His sons and daughters.  We now these things are true, yet we are pressing on to know Him in all of His fullness.  Our heavenly Father is always full, He is never half empty, and He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain watering the earth.  Stop for a moment and draw into this picture. You are standing on fresh spring grass, and warm spring rain is falling on you, except this is not just rain, but it is the presence of the living God covering you, filling you, saturating you. We, His people are never alone; we are never in a place where our Father is not with us. If we are in a battle, the battle belongs to Him.

It is very important that we draw into Him all the day long.  We are like trees planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither-whatever we do, we are prospering, because His word and His presence keep us connected to knowing Him more and more.  He is putting His treasure into these earthen vessels. (2 Corinthians 4:6-8) He is amazing and what He is doing in us and through us is amazing! We let our hearts and minds rest on Him and we are in perfect peace. We are recognizing more and more that what He has promised is ours and is being released as we pray into His purposes. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain watering the earth.
