Jerimiah 20:9 But if I say, “I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.

Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

As I write these words of encouragement, I am totally impressed with the level of evil speech and utterance now taking place in our written, televised, spoken, and even social media. The United States and many other countries are being bombarded with continual doses of negative, deceptive, angry, and totally un-redemptive information.

Many of you are familiar with the seven mountain strategy of impacting the world.  These seven mountains are business, government, media, arts and entertainment, education, the family and religion.  It is clear that His redemptive power is needed in every sphere of life. This appears to be especially true in the area of the media!  As we pray and we live each day we are releasers of the opposite spirit-the spirit of the Lord.  Galations 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. As we pray we need to boldly declare the Lordship of Jesus Christ over the media.  He is the redeemer of all things, and the hearts and the minds of His children are at the core of His saving power.

We have the opportunity throughout each day to continually declare redemption over this area. Each time we hear or see news that is deceptive and divisive we need to remember His truth.  Whether the source is national, local, or even social media we have the opportunity to know the cleansing redeeming power of the blood over the person who is the source of the information. We are the pipeline of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Our media is in great need of His redemption.  My we see that His power is great to accomplish redemption. Let us worship Him.
