Political Science or Medical Science

Political science or medical science, that is the question.

My wife, Marilyn, recently broke her leg. Doctors referred her to a sports medicine specialist at a major university clinic. When checking into the clinic, the nurse asked my wife, “Do you identify as a woman?” Marilyn politely responded, “Yes.”  The nurse then asked her, “Were you born that way?” Marilyn again replied, “Yes.”

If everything the leftist activists tell us is true, why ask the second question? Because what leftists contend defies truth. And in medicine, defying truth leads to catastrophic consequences.   Medical personnel ask the second question, therefore, because medical necessity requires knowing the veracity of the claim implied in the first answer.

When Marilyn’s doctor makes medical decisions, does he look to political science (answer #1), or medical science (answer #2) for guidance?  I expect he looks to medical science. Why?  Because truth matters.

God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” (Gen 1:27 NIV)
