Because Truth needs a witness, Salt & Light Global created a new series of resources to help believers bring the heart of Jesus to the cultural conversations of the day: Words that Work.
It can be difficult to talk about issues of moral truth when others are personally and emotionally invested, but the Word of God more than just truth—it is the most loving and compassionate answer to the questions of our time—and we have a duty to speak that truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). Scripture also teaches us the importance of communicating effectively (Proverbs 25:11), and this resource is designed to aid believers in doing just that.
Life at every age and every stage has purpose, value, and worth. All life is precious in the site of God. God’s Word calls us to bind up the brokenhearted and seek justice—even for those who cannot speak for themselves. Whether an unborn child, a terminally ill patient, or an expectant mother, each human being is a life made in the image of God that deserves protection.
Battles for sound public policy continue to wage in courts and legislative bodies around the world, but those battles are only it is only one piece of the greater battle. Much like William Wilberforce’s fight to end the slave trade or the the King family’s work to end racial injustice, the real battle is never about changing the law—it is about changing the hearts and minds of people—by taking the heart of Jesus to culture. That’s where you come in. Person to person conversations are the most effective way to change opinions and influence action, and your conversations with those in your sphere of influence are of eternal importance. You can also make a difference by giving of your time, talent, and treasure to support pro-life work.
It is our prayer that this resource will help you to have winsome, truth-centered conversations that point listeners back to the purpose God has for them and the truth that He alone numbers their days.
