Our staff recently filed a comment with the U.S. Health and Human Services Department regarding a World Health Organization proposal on pandemic preparedness has the potential to destroy national sovereignty. If the United States becomes a party to the proposed agreement, the consequences would be far-reaching, interfering with state and local government’s constitutionally protected authority and allowing a global organization with little accountability to determine health, environmental, economic, and societal policy that would affect all Americans. Below is a copy of the comment we filed to defend good governance and national sovereignty.
